What are the pieces made from?
Solid 925 sterling silver. Each piece is the fossilization of a real wing specimen through Haft’s lost organic casting process, then hand-finished in New York, so every vein and texture of the original is preserved.
Will mine look like the photos?
Each pre-order is cast from its own wing specimen, so the veins and patina on yours will be unique. The photos show pieces from the same edition.
Is every piece one of a kind?
Yes. Every piece begins with a unique natural specimen, so its form and fine details cannot be reproduced exactly.
How long does shipping take?
Pre-orders are cast to order in our New York studio; allow about 4–5 weeks. Every parcel is insured and tracked from the moment it ships, and US orders over $250 ship free.
Can I return my piece?
Because every piece is handmade, it becomes final sale once production begins. Damaged, defective or incorrect orders are always protected: contact the studio within seven days of delivery with your order number and photos and we will make it right.
Can I get a different setting or a custom piece?
Yes. On the Morpho Butterfly Fossil, choose a single wing or a double wing pair, then Brooch, Earring or Pendant, before adding to cart. For anything else, request a custom order.
How do I care for the patina?
Patinas are a hand-applied surface finish. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth, and avoid silver dips, polishing cloths and harsh chemicals on the coloured areas. Take it off before swimming or showering.
